2025-H - Institutional Pharmacy - Pursuant to a rule review (Executive Order No. 25-038), the Regulation Revision Committee decided to recommend an amendment to Chapter 17.
2025-G - Community Pharmacy - Pursuant to a rule review (Executive Order No. 25-038), the Regulation Revision Committee decided to recommend a repeal of Chapter 13.
2025-F - Controlled Dangerous Substances - This proposal would amend Chapter 27 of the Board's rules relative to controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Chapter 27, largely mirrors the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Parts 1300–1399). Each time the federal regulations change, corresponding updates must be made to Chapter 27. This redundancy also places an unnecessary burden on CDS licensees, who must comply with both sets of regulations. This proposal seeks to streamline the regulatory framework by adopting the federal regulations by reference and consolidating any provisions that differ from the CFR into Section 2713. All remaining sections containing redundant requirements would be repealed.
2025-E - Remote Access by a Pharmacy Technician - This proposal would amend Section 1145 of the Board’s rules concerning remote access to prescription drug orders, medical orders, and chart orders by including pharmacy technicians among those authorized under the rule.
2025-D - PMP Record Retention - This proposal would amend Section 2914 of the Board's rules regarding PMP record retention to include "audit trail information."
2025-C - Practitioner CDS License - This proposal would amend Section 2705 of the Board's rules relative to CDS licenses. This proposal is pursuant to Act 444 of the 2022 Regular Session which amended the medical marijuana law to expand the authority to issue recommendations for medical marijuana to “authorized clinicians”, then defined that term to include physicians, advanced practice registered nurses with prescriptive authority, and medical psychologists.
2025-B - Nonresident Pharmacy - This proposal would amend Sections 2301 and 2307 of the Board's rules relative to nonresident pharmacy. The amendment in Section 2301 removes language which can be confusing and redundant with Section 2309. The amendment in Section 2307 reduces the experience requirement for a pharmacist to qualify for the PIC privilege from two years of active pharmacy practice to one year.
2025-A - Prescription Drug Delivery - This proposal would amend Section 2501 of the Board's rules relative to the delivery of prescription drugs to patients.
