State Offices Closed January 28-30, 2014 in Several Louisiana Parishes

Closure Order Extended for Third Day

Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Kristy Nichols announced late Monday, January 27, 2014 that state government offices would be closed on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in 44 Louisiana parishes where hazardous driving conditions and scattered power outages were forecast for the morning due to a mix of rain and sleet, as well as snow and ice accumulation.  Since the Board of Pharmacy office is located in East Baton Rouge Parish which is on the list of affected parishes, the Board of Pharmacy office will be closed.  Depending on weather events, it is possible the closure will be extended for one more additional days.  Please monitor official weather and government sources for additional information.

Commissioner Nichols extended the closure order for Wednesday, January 29, 2014.  The Board of Pharmacy office will be closed. 

Commissioner Nichols extended the closure order for state offices in 21 Louisiana parishes, including East Baton Rouge, for Thursday, January 30, 2014.  The Board of Pharmacy office will be closed.  Although we anticipate re-opening the office on Friday, January 31, 201, we encourage you to monitor weather and government websites for current and authoritative information.
