The Board has published an update to its Louisiana Pharmacy Law Book. The update is a complete replacement of all printed pages, and it reflects all of the pharmacy laws and rules in effect as of January 1, 2011. We have mailed copies of Bulletin No. 11-01 to all currently active subscribers of the printed publication; the bulletin describes the update and how to arrange the pages with respect to the tabs in the loose-leaf binder.
In a related development, the Board has added a new feature to the Laws & Rules section of the Board's website. To facilitate those clients wishing to perform electronic searches of the entire law book, we have placed a link to the printer's file on that page of the website. The printer's file contains the entire contents of the law book, is approximately 3 MB in size, and contains 272 pages. We have retained the previous method of displaying the contents of the law book in separate links containing separate chapters, especially useful for those clients who wish to search only certain sections of the law book. For best results using these electronic files, we strongly recommend your use of the most recent version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader software, available free of charge at www.adobe.com.
